The Minerals, Lands and Resource Policy Division of the Sasktachewan Ministry of the Economy promotes mineral exploration and development by maintaining a geoscience database, and administering the disposition of metallic and industrial mineral claims on Crown lands.

The ministry also manages its mineral resources through the administration of royalty and tax systems, and collecting and maintaining production and sales information.
